次は、「Style」について。
ジャックくんの好きな服装やアクセなど、ファッションに関することや、次に買いたいものなど、個人的な話題に触れています。
ところで、イギリスのビールは”ぬるい”という話は、ビールも何もお酒全般を基本飲まない私でも耳にしたことがある”イギリスあるある”ですが、ジャックくんはぬるいビールが好きではないそうで、イギリス人でも冷たいビールが好きな人もいるんだなと、目から鱗でした(笑)。

What’s your favourite item of clothing – and what does it mean to you?
あなたのお気に入りの服は何ですか？それはどんな意味を持ちますか？
I’d say my West Ham 2002/03 away shirt, In recent years I’ve been collecting old West Ham shirts and this particular one was always on the top of my list.
ウエストハムの2002/03年のアウェイシャツです。
ここ数年、僕は昔のウエストハムのシャツを集めていて、その中でもこれは常にリストのトップにありました。
It means a lot to me because apart from being an immensely beautiful pinstripe delight, it was also the first away strip I ever owned and I have countless memories of being on my old man’s shoulders, strolling down Green Street and into the old Boleyn Ground proudly wearing it.
それは僕にとって多くの意味があり、すごくきれいなピンストライプが目に楽しいだけでなく、僕が手にした最初のアウェイ用ストリップで、親父の肩に乗って、誇らしげにそれを着てグリーン・ストリートを散歩して昔のブーリン・グラウンドに入っていった数えきれない思い出があります。
My Mum kept all of my old shirts growing up but without fail every time I looked at the tiny aforementioned shirt I wore as a five year old it was met with sadness because I had to accept that I was an adult and it no longer fits.
母は、僕が子どものころ着ていたシャツを全部残しているんですが、さっき話した5歳のときに着ていたシャツを見ると、必ず悲しい気分になりました、僕は大人になり、もうサイズが合わないことを受け入れないといけないからです。
Nonetheless, I eventually got my hands on a mint condition original with ‘Cole No.26’ on the back thrown in for good measure. Get in!
とはいえ、最終的には、背中に「Cole No.26」と書かれた新品同様のものを手に入れました！
Favourite accessory – watch / jewellery / etc – and why is it special to you?
お気に入りのアクセサリー（時計、ジュエリーなど）はありますか？それはなぜ特別なのですか？
I’ve never been one to wear jewellery to be honest but don’t worry I have an answer for this question. If you ever come drinking in the park with me I come with a complementary cooler, I realised this role post lockdown when pubs were still shut.
僕は、正直ジュエリーは身に付けません、でも、この質問には答えますのでご安心を。
もし僕と公園で飲むことになれば、僕はクーラーを持って行きます、ロックダウンの後、まだパブが閉まっていた時に僕はこの任務を実感したんです。
Firstly, I’m not one that likes warm beer and secondly with the sun blazing and public toilets still shut at the time, we needed to find good spots (near a wholesome set of bushes) where we could just sit and relax. I’d like to think a huge part of that relaxation was knowing that at any time you could reach into my cooler and grab yourself a nice cold refreshing beverage.
先ず、僕はぬるいビールが好きではありません、次に、太陽が照りつけ、公衆トイレはまだ閉っている当時は、我々はただ座ってくつろげる良い場所（健全な茂みの近く）を見つける必要がありました。
僕は、そのリラクゼーションの大部分は、いつでも僕のクーラーに手が届き、冷たくて爽快な飲み物を手にできると分かっていることだと考えます。
So yeah that’s my favourite accessory, a lightweight cooler.
なので、僕のお気に入りのアクセサリーは、軽量のクーラーです。
What items do you take on holiday and why?
休暇には何を、そして、なぜそれを持って行きますか？
Suncream is by far the most important item for myself although I could count on one hand how many times I’ve actually purchased some. Clearly I have good people around me because they’re always there to lend a helping hand.
日焼け止めは、自分にとってなくてはならない最も重要なアイテムです、とはいえ、実際に買ったのは片手で数えるぐらいですが。
明らかに、僕はいつもそれを貸してくれる良い人たちに恵まれています。
There are two things that are absolutely guaranteed when I go on holiday, one being that someone will insist that its very hot and I need suncream on to which I agree and oblige.
休暇のときに間違いなく保証されることは2つあって、一つは、誰かがすごく暑くて僕に日焼け止めが必要だと主張し、僕が賛同せざるを得なくなること。
Then the other being I fail to reapply after that and find myself red raw laying on my bed at the end of the day slathered in aloe vera.
もう一つは、僕が塗り直しをしそびれて、一日の終わりにベッドに横になり、赤くなってヒリヒリしていることに気づき、アロエを塗りたくること。
Is there an item you threw away – or lost – that you really miss?
あなたが捨てた、あるいは失ったもので、とても恋しくなるものはありますか？
I get quite attached to items especially if I feel like they’ve been with me through things.
僕は、自分に寄り添ってきたと感じられるものに特に愛着があります。
One that comes to mind is an old rucksack of mine, it was with me through many highs and lows and wherever I went you best believe it was on my back. We went from school halls to audition rooms to backpacking around Europe and then eventually all to way to LA together.
一つ思い浮かぶのは、古いリュックサックで、いい時も悪い時も、どこへ行くにも背負っていました。
学校からオーディション部屋へ行き、そして、ヨーロッパをバックパックで周り、最終的にLAまでずっと僕らは一緒でした。
Unfortunately I bought too many things while I was out there and had to leave a number of items behind, my beautiful but battered rucksack being one of them. We had a nice moment together and I said thank you for always being there with me, I left it propped up in a place where I hope someone picked it up and continued its journey.
残念なことに、僕は現地でモノを買い過ぎてしまい、たくさんのアイテムを置いていくはめになり、僕の美しくもくたびれたリュックサックもその一つでした。
僕らはいい時間を過ごしたので、いつも一緒にいてくれてありがとうと言い、それを誰かが拾って旅が続けられることを願い、立てかけておきました。

What’s next on your shopping list?
次の買い物リストは何ですか？
I’m away in South Africa at the moment and as I write this there’s a post it note with my shopping list on it and the items range between clingfilm and frozen chips, yet I’m guessing this is a question about what clothing is next on my shopping list?!
今、南アフリカにいて、これを書いていると、買い物リストを控えたメモがあり、アイテムはラップや凍ったチップスなど幅広く、というか、次に買う洋服リストは何かという質問なのでしょうか？！
In that case, when I get back to England I’m going to buy a big winter coat, the kind that could be seen at the top of Mount Everest.
そうであれば、イギリスに帰ったら大きな冬のコートを買う予定です、エベレスト山頂で見られるようなヤツ。
What would you buy if money was no object?
もしお金は関係ないとしたら、何を買いますか？
I find this question difficult because I’m immediately drawn to thinking of things that are in some way meaningful or at least beneficial to more people that just myself.
難しい質問ですね、僕はすぐに、何かしら意味のある、少なくとも自分だけでなくより多くの人のためになるようなものを考えようとしてしまうので。
Nonetheless, I’m going to keep it casual so if money were no object I would buy myself a jet-ski. I just simply love jet-skis!
でもここはカジュアルを貫き、もしお金は関係ないとしたら、僕はジェットスキーを買いたいです。
単純にジェットスキーが好きなんです！
