コリン・モーガンが、イギリスの週刊SFコミック誌、2000 ADから人気シリーズ『Sláine』のオーディオブックでSláineの声を演じるニュースは以前に取り上げましたが（こちら）、3/4の発売日に合わせて、出演陣やスタッフの方たちのインタビューをまとめた動画が2000 AD公式Youtubeにアップされました。
発売前に小出しにしてくれたコリンのインタビューよりも長いバージョンが収められているので、改めて、コリンのコメントのみですが、日本語訳にチャレンジしました。
先に訳した後半部分は、難易度が高くて、45秒の訳に1日がかりの時間を費やしたものですが、今回訳した前半部分は、それに比べるとだいぶ短時間でまとめられました。
間違った解釈をしている部分もあるかと思いますが、お役に立てれば幸いです。
＜前半部分 9：05～＞
When you do have something, when you've got visuals there, why not have them to hand, I had a picture of Sláine in front of me, one that I particularly thought captured him, I had that here the whole time.
何かをするとき、そのビジュアルがあれば使わない手はないです。
僕はスレインの絵を、彼の特長をとりわけよく捉えていると思われる絵を、ずっと目の前に置いていました。
But in terms the playing of it, I find it better to have my imagination of each scene as opposed to having like a storyboard, or what it might be like.
でも、実際に演じてみると、それぞれのシーンに絵コンテ的なものを使うのとは対照的に自分の想像力を使うとよりよくなることが分かりました。
I think it's because the scripted adaptation of it was very visceral and real, it was very easy for me to be able to do that and imagine what some of these creatures like the Slough Feg might actually be like.
この脚本はとても本能的でリアルなので、Slough Fegのような生き物は実際にどんな感じなのかを想像するのはとても簡単でした。

Even if something does have a long standing love from people, that if it's being told in other medium, then that's a whole other way of experiencing the story.
たとえ人々に長年愛され続けているものでも、もしそれが別の媒体で語られているなら、全く違った体験になるでしょう。
And we can all hear we know our beloved novels, books or whatever that we have, particularly novels because we create the image, the sound of these characters ourselves.
私たちは自分の愛する小説や本など、自分の持っているものなら何でも聞くことができます。
中でも小説は特に、というのも、キャラクターのイメージやサウンドを自分自身で創造するからです。
But ultimately I think it's always the, it's the journey and the love and there's a lot of love behind this project I think, to bring to ears, as well as eyes, and so I think that's just, it's a whole other way of experiencing it, which is a exciting thing to be a part of.
でも、究極的には、それはいつも探求であり愛情であり、そして、このプロジェクトの背景には大きな愛情があり、それは目だけではなく耳にも届けられると思います。
とにかく、これはただただ今までとは全く異なる体験で、そんなことに関われるのはワクワクします。
